Apple Pay launches in the UK, and we can pay to the iPhone or Apple Watch to get on the subway

As expected, Apple Pay launches today in the UK. The launch includes being able to use the iPhone to pay in more than 250,000 stores, and more importantly, can also be used in vehicles such as tube or London Underground. As shown below, you may also pay with Apple Watch to enter lathes, similarly as has been paying until now with the Oyster Card manner. Apple Pay comes to Europe after the US and Canada.

The service was launched with the support of eight banks, including  HSBC, NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland, Ulster Bank, Nationwide and First Direct.

Barclays Bank was the only major bank in the UK that has been left out of the list for the launch day, as they have not yet reached an agreement with Apple, but is expected to be resolved soon.
