Well, Apple finally has launched Mac OS X Lion, the eight major Mac OS X release ever since the first Mac OS was released. Lion is now available in the Mac App Store for everyone who has a Mac.

Earlier this month, Apple released the GM build of Mac OS X Lion. From then, we predicted that Lion release would be coming soon as it doesn't take long to release the final build after the GM build has been released. Only a couple of days back we predicted that Mac OS X Lion would be coming this Wednesday.

Mac OS X Lion is available right now in the Mac App Store. Its going to be a 3.5GB file and after downloading finishes, it won't require you to restart your Mac. Update will be done locally. Also, you won't have to pay for every Mac that you have. Your paying once is enough and all your authorized Macs will be eligible for upgrade to Lion.

Mac OS X Lion costs $29.99 and can be downloaded right now. Apple has also said that they plan on releasing Mac OS X Lion in a thumb drive later this August for $69.
