How To Turn On / Off Your Lights With Siri

How To Turn On / Off Your Lights With Siri – Since the introduction of Siri back in 2011, it has been the center of attention on tech blogs for the creative things it can do thanks to some clever hacking. Some previous hacks have led to Siri being used to tweak thermostat settings,  lock/unlock your car or even use siri to control the TV and one new hacker has even managed to switch the lights in your room on or off.

How To Turn On / Off Your Lights With Siri :

Philips has released an LED bulb, known as Philips Hue Bulb, that can be controlled via your iOS device but for one Redditor, that just wasn’t enough so he did some hacking with Siri and eventually managed to make Siri control the Hue Bulb. Tired of switching the bulb on/off by going to the app again and again? Well then you can simply tell Siri to do that for you.

For this, he hacked a jailbroken iPod to re-route Siri functionality to a Siri proxy and replaced iPod’s Siri beeps with WAV files for Iron Man’s Jarvis. Want to fancy yourself as Tony Stark and enjoy at least some of that powerful feeling of controlling your high-tech home via your AI assistant?
