Steve Jobs Said "We Don't Track Any One"

Sure you hear about the bug founded on iOS 4.x which spreaded like wildfire across the world last week. For who don't know, a bug discovered on iOS devices
running iOS 4.x which maintaining an easily-accessible database tracking the movements of iOS users.

One of MacRumors reader go straight and asked Apple CEO Steve Jobs via his email to calrify the issue and mentioning that he may switch to Android if adequate explanations are not forthcoming. Jobs's reply was strange, he claimed that Apple does not track users and Android does while referring to the information about iOS shared in the media as "false".

Q: Steve, 

Could you please explain the necessity of the passive location-tracking tool embedded in my iPhone? It's kind of unnerving knowing that my exact location is being recorded at all times. Maybe you could shed some light on this for me before I switch to a Droid. They don't track me. 

A: Oh yes they do. We don't track anyone. The info circulating around is false.

How do the developers describing the issue:

As many observers have noted, the iOS location database does not record exact GPS data, instead seeking to pinpoint the locations of Wi-Fi access points and cell towers that the device comes within range of, although the database does offer a clear general track of a user's movements.

Anyway, many investigations have been launched in some countries asking for official explanation from Apple to jusgify this issue.
