PlayStation 4 can run Linux (Video)

PlayStation 4 is one of the most popular consoles on the planet, but which probably few have thought about so far is that it can be run on the Linux operating system, but even the Pokemon game developed by the folks at Nintendo.

In the video below you can see how Linux runs on PS4 thanks to a an exploit exists in the operating system of the console hackers fail0verflow team managed to make installation with enough effort, but the end result worth it fully hard work to make this installation.

The folks at fail0verflow have exploited the webkit browser installed in PS4, its getting administrator access to the operating system of the console, a second process of exploiting software video card is necessary in order to be able to install Linux.

Although all the exploit used to install Linux on the PS4 have been blocked by Sony with successive updates of operating system and now everything you see in the clip can not be done by a normal user, the clip shows the hardware capabilities of the console yet.
