What were the most used applications in 2015?

2015 is coming to an end and if you were curious to know which were the best applications of the year, well those from Nielsen published a know that apply to large US only, but that can be used as well for a global representation.

According to Nielsen, Facebook was the most used application in the course of 2015, with over 127 million users in the US, so theoretically about 40% of the population has at least one account in the famous social network and use the application.

The second position in the top we find YouTube with over 97 million users in the US alone, Facebook Messenger occupying the third position with over 96 million users, and the highest growth rate in 2015 of all applications in the top.

In fourth place we have the Google Search with 95 million users, 5th place is awarded Google Play with over 89 million users, 6th place is awarded to the Google Maps with over 87 million users, Gmail is the last Google top.

As for Apple, it has only two applications on top, Apple Music and Apple Maps, first recorded 54.5 million users, while the second recorded 46.4 million users, streaming audio of the Cupertino being popular than Twitter, for example.

The interesting part is that Apple Music is almost as popular as Instagram in the US, but despite the large number of people who have tried the service, only 6.5 million people actually pay a monthly subscription for it at the moment.

What do you think about this list and how well do you think it applies to the whole world?
