The network has the first review 12.9-inch iPad Pro [video]

If the idea of iPad Air was subtlety, lightness and "air", the iPad Pro with a screen diagonal of 12.9 inches was "heavyweight" among the Apple tablet in the literal and figurative senses. The model weighs 723 grams - more than one and a half times more than the iPad Air 2, and only 7 grams less than the first iPad version 2010. Today we have the opportunity to see the first reviews of the long-awaited product that Apple's positioned as a replacement for laptops.

Despite the fact that Apple has managed to make the device easier than Microsoft Surface Pro 4 (790 grams with 12-inch screen), iPad Pro is still a heavy plate. In the five years since the release of the first iPad, people are spoiled diligence accommodate as many opportunities as possible for easier device. So now 723 grams iPad Pro seem almost unfeasible.

In size iPad Pro more than the previous iPad Air 2: 306 x 220 mm to 240 x 170 mm in length and width. The thickness of the plate is also increased, but only slightly - 6.9 mm compared to 6.1 mm for iPad Air 2 - the difference is hardly noticeable. It is noteworthy that the very iPad Pro almost 2.5 m thinner Surface Pro 4. It is not surprising that Apple CEO Tim Cook iPad Pro is uniquely positioned as an alternative to the computer, rather than tablets iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 4.

iPad Pro differs from previous models not only the dimensions but also a couple of new elements. First - this is additional speakers on the upper side of the device (recall that in all the previous generation iPad speaker is located on one side only). Four speakers instead of two seemed to us an advantage: the previous models the sound coming from one side of the device, to put it mildly, not pleased. Another new feature - Smart Connector jack on the left side of the cover plate for connecting the keyboard.
