Apple goes on AMOLED-display on the iPhone until 2019

Apple is not changed to use AMOLED-display for at least the next four years. With such a forecast was made today by analyst with KGI Securities Ming-Chi Kuo, referring to informed sources.

The last time the web repeatedly had information about the possible release of the iPhone display OLED. In particular edition of Business Korea in September, wrote that one of the largest manufacturers of such panels in talks to supply the American corporation. However, Ming-Chi Kuo refuted this information. According to him, the first iPhone with OLED display will be released no earlier than 2019.

The fact that in 2018 the company Foxconn - the main collector of the iPhone and iPad - is going to build another factory for the production of TFT-screen. And at this plant, which opened in Zhengzhou, will produce displays for the iPhone.

It should be noted that not so long ago, Apple has registered a patent on the phone with a curved screen, but that does not mean that it will be put into production. Currently, OLED-displays for the "Yabloko" supply LG Display and Samsung Display - they are used for the production of "smart" watches Apple Watch. In fact, this is the first product from Apple with a curved screen, all the other devices it is flat.

It is worth noting that the Japanese manufacturer Minebea backlight module does not expect mass conversion to the technology AMOLED. Earlier, the company said that in the next 3 years the demand for TFT-panel flagship smartphone will be consistently high.
