OS X 10.10.5 is available

This is an update from Apple evening tonight. The company released iOS 8.4.1 for all users with patches for Apple Music. On the Mac, users have the right to OS X 10.10.5. This version has undergone several beta versions.

It improves the Apple operating system level of stability, compatibility, and security. Apple list three key changes:

  • Improves compatibility with some email servers when using Mail
  • Resolves an issue in Pictures preventing the importation of video from GoPro cameras
  • Resolves an issue in QuickTime Player preventing playback of Windows Media files
OS X 10.10.5 are recovered directly from the Mac App Store from the Updates tab. This is certainly the last version for OS X Yosemite. Apple OS X will offer El Capitan (OS X 10.10) this fall for the public.
