Here's how to use the Moto 360 on iPhone without Jailbreak [video]

The Moto 360 is definitely one of the most interesting smartwatch market and perhaps one of the most suitable to compete with Apple Watch. But when the Moto 360 only supports Android. Pending the arrival of the long awaited official support, we look at how to connect a Moto 360 to an iPhone without using the Jailbreak.

We have repeatedly seen as on the iOS platform compatible smartwatch are practically very few (there is the Pebble and just some other device is isolated) and very limited compared to Android. The Moto 360, however, is a clear example of a smartwatch intriguing and elegant that it could be interesting if used with iPhone. It could be a competitor to Apple Watch in effect. But on iOS for now it does not work, or at least until you get the official support of Android Wear (within the year, according to the latest rumors). Meanwhile, however, there is another way to connect an iPhone to a Moto 360 and not even need to jailbreak. Let's see how you can do this.

We begin by pointing out that the connection of the popular Motorola smartwatch with an iPhone or iPad is not the easiest. Unfortunately the process is prone to failure due to not very high reliability of the applications involved in the matching. And there's another thing to be specified: the features are limited, and was to be expected. For example, you can not respond to messages directly from the watch. Everything else, however, it should work, such as notifications, answering calls and applications on Motion 360.

That said, we continue to see how to pair. We'll need a Moto 360, an Android device that supports Android Wear, an iPhone and a lot of patience.

First we have to connect our Moto 360 to Android device, then we will have to download the app "Wear Connect for iOS" always from Android devices and open the app as soon as the download is complete. Now we will have to tick the "iOS Service". In this way, the Moto 360 will disconnect from the Android device will be ready and (more or less) to connect to the iPhone. Now you have to make a swipe and hide notification that informs us that the Moto 360 is disconnected and then follow the steps that are shown on smartwatch. Specifically, will download the app on iOS "BLE Utility", and then open it. Then we will open in the app, the tab "Peripheral" and we will go in the menu on the Moto 360, we will enter the pairing code to connect us and we finish.

We leave the video produced by Jeremy Judkins explains visually the steps to follow:

Obviously, once again, the capabilities are limited and the process is quite cumbersome. Perhaps it is better to wait for official support?
