Audible, audiobooks application from Amazon, receives support for CarPlay

Books and steering wheels do not mix much, unless you have available audiobooks. With them, drivers can enjoy the time in transit to listen to their favorite stories or gain knowledge with narrated books.

Amazon has a popular service called Audible audiobooks, and he is the latest application to be supported as a resource for CarPlay, Apple. The new update of the app that was released today for iPhone in the App Store will make the application appear automatically on CarPlay, once it is installed on the user's smartphone.

Thus, the driver can access and control audiobooks reproductions of your library, through optimized interface for transit. The update includes a list of other changes in the application, such as new features for the Sleep Timer, and the possibility of continuing listening to a sample of the books even when leaving the details page.

Although this is not the first audiobook service coming to CarPlay, of course I could not get out. Just as Audible, the Audibooks.com also gained support earlier this year. Apple is also adding support for their own audiobooks sold through iTunes in the next update to iOS 8.4.

Applications to receive support for CarPlay, system that must be present in more than 40 cars to the end of the year, must come slowly, since they require special approval from Apple. Whereas already have three options for audiobook, it seems that the company considered such important service to receive attention.

Updating the Audible for iOS is now available on the App Store.
