Next Generation iPhone & iPad Will Start Manufacturing In August

According to a recent report, it has been claimed that Apple's suppliers are preparing for the manufacture of a new iPad and an iPhone, possibly starting this August. Meaning that Apple could very well release the iPad 3 and the iPhone 5 in 2011.

Previously, it was confirmed to us that an iPhone 5 is launching in September. However, news about another new variant of the iPad is definitely going to get the rumor mill churning, considering the fact that it has only been four months since the iPad 2 came out.

The report has been published by Digitimes, which has a good track record when it comes to news about Apple's future product plans.
The sources pointed out that the iPhone 5's supply volume is estimated to be around 6-7 million units in the third quarter and with the addition of iPhone 4 shipments, total iPhone shipments in the quarter will reach 24-25 million units with volumes to maintain at the same level in the fourth quarter. In 2011, Apple is forecasted to ship over 85 million iPhones.
Since Apple is also set to start supplying iPad 3 in August, the shipments of iPad series products including iPad 2 are expected to surpass 15 million units, and iPad's supply volume for 2011 will have a good chance to break 40 million units.
It is possible that Apple has made up its mind to ship a new iPad this Fall as well, considering the fact that the tablet market is progressing by leaps and bounds each day and surely Apple would want its signature tablet, the iPad to retain the top spot. Let us see what innovation Apple brings to us in the new iPhone and iPad.
