When and after OTA delta updates were announced whilst told us what is new in iOS 5, the immediate question that sprung in jailbreakers minds was that is it going to be possible to jailbreak iOS 5 ! ? If updates are delivered to OTA, how will it be possible to jailbreak new versions of iOS 5? MuscleNerd of the iPhone Dev Team answers this question.
He said in a tweet:
We still wonder how will iOS jailbreak Fast This Fall, this is the recent question for that time.
He said in a tweet:
over-the-air delta updates of iOS should be fine for JBers (even if Apple didn’t let you disable them, the JB itself can)Which means that even if Apple does not give an option to turn off iOS 5 OTA updates by default, users will be able to do it by jailbreaking their devices. We have yet to see who comes out first with an iOS 5 jailbreak. What do you think?
