3G Connection Issue Makes Apple Recall Verizon 3G iPad 2 Shipments

It seems like Apple is recalling Verizon 3G iPad 2 shipments following the network connectivity issue that many users have been facing. This connectivity has only been detected in Verizon 3G iPad 2 units and not the AT&T ones. Therefore, it looks like Apple is recalling Verizon 3G iPad 2 shipments.

FedEx packages are reportedly being marked “return to sender” at Apple’s request, although in some cases the positions of Apple support staff may be inconsistent with FedEx’s, either acknowledging a recall, claiming no information on the matter or stating that the problem is with FedEx. Supporting the idea of a recall is a witness at the Lakeside Shopping Center Apple Store in Louisiana, who claims that two people recently left the store with a cart full of boxes, which had “Verizon 64GB” and “Verizon 32GB” marked on the outside.
It is also being said that this issue is more likely to have hit those who have ordered their Verizon 3G iPad 2 online. While shipments are being called back, many customers who have placed orders will now probably have to wait more than the expected two weeks shipping time, till Apple sorts out this issue. Apple is likely to make refunds and replace affected units.

Tell us, do you have a Verizon 3G iPad 2 suffering from 3G network connectivity issues? If yes, what sort of compensation would you like from Apple?
