Google Latitude Availiable Now for iPhone and iPod Touch [Video+Download]

As reported by 9to5Mac, it appears the official Google Latitude app has finally hit the App Store, despite a leak of a supposedly “unfinished’ version appearing (then disappearing) from the store just a few days ago.
More those not aware, Google Latitude allows you to see your friends wherever they are in the world, on a physical map, providing they themselves have given prior permission for Google to track their location. You too can also let your friends see where you are, or if you’d like to keep your privacy, you too can turn off your location.
As for why the app was blocked in the first place?
Apple blocked the app initially in order to avoid confusion with Maps on the iPhone,” says Google.
The FREE app, which as of writing is available in 27 languages, is available for download right now and is confirmed working on iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, third and fourth-gen iPod touch and iPad.
