Starting with December 16th, Android phone fans in the United States should have the possibility to purchase a new highly appealing smartphone in the country, the Nexus S by Samsung.
Announced officially at the beginning of this week, the new mobile phone should come to the market with the new Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system on board, while offering a nice range of other new features.
The upcoming device would be put on sale on the US market exclusively via Best Buy, though users should have the possibility to choose whether they would purchase it with or without a contract agreement.
The retailer has published on its website Nexus S FAQs so as to provide users with the answers they might have been looking for when it comes to the purchase of the new device.
The Nexus S will be released only with monthly plan options on T-Mobile USA's network. The unlocked devices would offer support for this wireless carrier's 3G network alone. It can be used on other networks as well, but speeds would be reduced to non-3G.
Unfortunately, it appears that no pre-ordering would be put in place for those who are eagerly waiting for the device to arrive on shelves.
On December 16th, Best Buy would make the new smartphone { Nexus S, the first smartphone to come to the market with Google's new Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, is expected to become available for purchase in the UK via two retailers, namely Best Buy and Carphone Warehouse, starting with December 20th. }available for acquisition on a first-come-first-served basis. The retailer announced that it planned on using a ticketing system to keep things organized.
For the time being, the company doesn't seem certain that all of its stores would have Nexus S devices on launch day. However, it is working on making the device available at all locations.
“The Nexus S can be purchased for $199.99 with a 2-year new or upgrade activation or $529.99 as an unlocked phone with no contract and no activation,” the retailer announced officially.
