Apple Shipped 2 Million Macs in the U.S. During Q3 of 2010 and Became Third Largest PC Seller

New reports from CNET showing that Apple has shipped 1.99 million Macs in the U.S. during the third quarter of 2010. That's big! It's 10 percent of all PCs shipped in the U.S. during this period. So, Apple became the 3rd largest PC seller in the U.S.! HP tops the PC sellers by 24.3 percent share followed by Dell's 23.1 percent share.

According to the Quarterly PC Tracker Survey released by IDC today, Apple shipped 1.99 million Macs in the U.S. during the third quarter of 2010. That's good for 10.6 percent of the 18.9 million PCs shipped in the U.S., putting Apple's share at its highest in the U.S. in the company's history, according to IDC.
It's a good point for Apple that they could sell all these Macs in this period and I think that Mac sales will increase after the “Back to the Mac” media event next Wednesday. Another interesting thing in the report says that iPad may be the Mac fighter! So we can say Apple fights itself. [via CNET]
