New Apple TV is based on iOS and can be Jailbroken

Remember the iProd 2,1 reference that was found while testing iOS on iPad? We told you that it may be a next generation iPad with FaceTime or a new CDMA, but a new report brings new possibilities of this string. According to TUAW, it was a new iOS Based Apple TV. The key below was found while exploring iOS 4.2 beta that was released two days ago.

Apple TV for $99, will be Available in 4 Weeks

Steve Jobs unveiled the new Apple TV, a little tiny box a quarter the size of its predecessor. It’s now all about renting. No more buying things. HD TV shows now rent for $0.99, with, let me remind you, no commercial. ABC, Fox, Netflix are on board.

Apple announces new Apple's TV?

Apple has just pulled a new Apple TV which has no storage, no purchases. It's now a streaming-focused device with an in a small matte black enclosure we're calling "the hockey puck." New Apple TV rents new HD movies for $4.99, TV episode rentals for 99 cents. ABC and Fox to start. Includes Netflix streaming as well.
