New Apple TV is based on iOS and can be Jailbroken

Remember the iProd 2,1 reference that was found while testing iOS on iPad? We told you that it may be a next generation iPad with FaceTime or a new CDMA, but a new report brings new possibilities of this string. According to TUAW, it was a new iOS Based Apple TV. The key below was found while exploring iOS 4.2 beta that was released two days ago.

Apple TV for $99, will be Available in 4 Weeks

Steve Jobs unveiled the new Apple TV, a little tiny box a quarter the size of its predecessor. It’s now all about renting. No more buying things. HD TV shows now rent for $0.99, with, let me remind you, no commercial. ABC, Fox, Netflix are on board.

Apple has just pulled a new Apple TV which has no storage, no purchases. It's now a streaming-focused device with an in a small matte black enclosure we're calling "the hockey puck." New Apple TV rents new HD movies for $4.99, TV episode rentals for 99 cents. ABC and Fox to start. Includes Netflix streaming as well.

Apple May Offer TV Show Access for $0.99/Month?

It's just a couple of days ago when we heard a rumor saying that Apple is going to offer $.99 TV show rental. Today, Cult of Mac reporting that Apple may be offering access to all the episodes of a TV Show for $.99/month rather then the previously rumored $.99/episode rental charge.

Apple to Hold iPod Touch 4G / iTV Event on September 1st

Today, we already posted that Apple is holding a new event on September 7th according to Bloomberg, but Watch out! According to Engadget Apple is holding a "Special Event" on September 1st. This Apple event may be iPod Touch 4G, Apple iTV or may be both, Who knows?


Apple iTV will have ARM Processor and Access to App Store [Report]

AppleInsider is reporting that the new Apple iTV will be supported with ARM processor as the iPhone 4 and iPad. Not only that, It will have full access to the App Store. Reports say that Apple iTV may have the access to the iPhone App Store which offers about a quarter-million options for users.

iTV Will Release By Mid Of September, iTv Will Change Everything

The founder of Digg, Kevin Rose, has expressed some ideas about AppleTV (aka iTV). There is no new technical details but Apple could launch the new product in September. Engadget has already spoken several time of the new iTV, on the basis of statements unearthed.
