Facebook can allow users challenge their friends with games in Messenger

Facebook recently launched its Messenger application platform, which enables developers to create services to deliver content within chats, without the need for interaction with other applications, even with the news feed of traditional social networking app.

The new platform already has about 40 apps to send GIFs, photos, videos, audio, and more. However, it seems that Mark Zuckerberg's company is struggling to engage its users to use these applications. The site The Information reported that the developers also are failing to increase awareness of users about their apps.

Therefore, a possible strategy that Facebook can take to increase the number of users using the platform is to bring more applications and services, including, it seems that is being considered whether to allow them to game developers also bring their apps to the Messenger.

According to the report of The Information, which cites three people briefed on the plans, Facebook was in talks with game developers on the platform, though the company has not forecast when some games may be introduced in the Messenger app store. The executive of the social network, Ilya Sukhar responsible for Messenger content, confirmed that talks are going on but did not give any date when this will become a reality.

This should probably be a wise decision because games are always a nice way of interaction, especially when friends can challenge each other. It now remains to wait for some confirmation to know what kind of gambles will be taken to the Messenger.
