Jailbreak Tools Steal Your Passwords [Warning]

According to security researcher Costin Raiu at the Kapersey Labs, there is a new exploit spreading across the web that is being circulated as Greenpois0n, the new exploit promises to jailbreak your device on iOS 4.0.2 or above, but actually it steals your passwords. I think it makes sense in these days to hear about such things, as huge amount of iDevices users are eagerly awaiting the new jailbreak tool.

You have to know that new iOS 4.1 Greenpois0n jailbreak for the iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4G and iPad did not release yet and there is still no exact ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival). which means that any website or program claiming the capablity of jailbreak iOS 4.0.2 or above for the above mentioned devices, is a scam until official release from a trusted source, for example but not limited the dev-team, chronic-dev or iH8sn0w.

By the way, the only official jailbreak for iOS 4.1 released until now is redsn0w 0.9.6 from the dev-team, the other one is sn0wbreeze 2.0 which will be released today from iH8sn0w.

Finally serious attention should be paid before using any tool on your device as it possible cause severe damage to your device or penetrate your privacy. [via cultofmac]
