As promised, the iPhone Dev Team has released the necessary jailbreak tools which can untether the latest iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak on iPhone 4, iPod touch 4G, and iPad. Old-generation iOS devices already have untethered jailbreak on iOS 4.2.1.

Early today Dev-Team has announced the untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.2.1 on iPhone 4, iPod touch 4G and iPad, and then we followed it by the step by step guide to use the redsn0w 0.9.7b1 jailbreak, but it looks like that we are in dire need of beta 2 for this version as some of our reader who jailbroke their devices using beta 1, have noted some errors with Bluetooth, playing music and iTunes.

The iPhone Dev Team has just released the beta release of the new version of Redsn0w 0.9.7b1 which untethers iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak so you don't need to plug in your iPhone every time you reboot it.
