How to activate a guest user in OS X

Your information and your data is yours and only yours, but that does not mean that nobody else can use your Mac. Letting the Mac to a colleague, friend or family member is possible without you have to worry about your data, thanks to the way Guest .



Guest Basically what it does is allow you to log in without a password, but will not have access to any personal data from your computer. Also, everything you do or set will be automatically deleted after closing session.

Ultimately, Guest mode need to have administrator permissions -the most-mobilized and subsequently have them can proceed.

  1. Open System Preferences
  2. Click Users and Groups
  3. Click the lock to unlock and have administrator permissions
  4. Allow box enables guests to log into this computer
